Last week at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park we officially swore in the next round of Tennessee State Parks Rangers.
A Park Ranger can guide you on a hike. They can lead you on a kayaking trip, help you identify the plants you see, respond to a situation with medical training, and let you know where the best swimming hole is. But in Tennessee State Parks, every Park Ranger is also a certified law enforcement officer charged with protecting not just the natural resources of the park, but all park visitors.
It takes a multifaceted person to wear the badge of a Park Ranger. Each of these individuals set their eyes on a goal to wear this uniform and they accomplished it this summer. We couldn't be more proud to welcome these new additions to our state parks!
