Sweden Driving License Exam Tips for passing in First Attempt

Hi,
I have cleared my Driving Test in Sweden in first attempt without any prior driving experience from my home country. If i can do it, you can also do it.
I am sharing some useful information regarding how to pass in your first attempt :)

@@Blessed69666 You can only choose the location eg Sollentuna/Jarfalla/Farsta etc. But the route in that location is decided by the Examiner, but some part of route might be common in the video :)

Thanks for such precious videos. I followed you and passed in first attempt. I was driving in Saudi in total different environment I got my license in first try from Lund. My recommendation to have practice more and more on the route, cross the roundabouts coming to the route at least 5-6 times. Keep focus on the lanes and where they are directing. Personal tip: keep saying whenever you notice something critical “ now i am at 30 road i need to look for priority to right since there is no other sign available “ “Now i need to reduce speed because i am going to exit. My examiner speaks English and he tolmd me like turn left to 3rd exit at round about “ But off course major destination names he told me on highway and before the round abouts which i followed because of yesterday practice in the same area Best of luck. Dont forget to watch you tube guide lines and practice them as much as possible during your routine

Hi, Thanks for your appreciation. As of now I am busy with some personal work, so cant make new videos as of now. But for country road left turn please check my Sollentuna exam route playlist, Sollentuna-Taby, i did a left turn there. But overall this is the idea 1. Plan in advance 2. Tap the brake light beforehand, to let the car behind know that you are planning for a left turn 3. Indicate well in advance 4. Find a proper gap in oncoming lane and adapt your speed accordingly 5. Turn if you can do safely 6. Else abort mission and go forward, just say to the examiner that its not safe to turn left and mention your reason and if the examiner is convinced, you wont fail

17:40, I agree to your point. But there is a chance that we will be driving 20-25 speed range. Will the examinor say I am obstrecting the trafic flow? Also, As I understand by default 30kmph is the lowest speed unless otherwise specified. (parking lot/pedastrian zone/home zone it is 7kmph)

In residential area/ school zone etc your speed should never cross 30kmph, cz the expectation is that there might be unprotected road users and they have highest priority than causing obstruction to other vehicles. If you can drive below 30kmph, well and good but sometimes due to nervousness or down hill etc, the speed my go above 30kmph which is a big no-no. So aiming for 25kmph would be better even if it exceeds, it will still be below 30kmph :) But again if there is lot of traffic and the road is vacant i.e.. no pedestrains etc then aim for 30kmph But in case if priority road, country roads and highway you should try to keep to the max speed unless you have a good reason not to do so as it could lead to hindrance to traffic

You explained very nicely. Could you please post theory exam tips, I failed in theory several times in very small margine 2 to 3 points. Which really scared and frustrated me. 😢

Hi. You talked about roundabouts left turn. For big roundabouts makes sense to come at right lắm before exit but in small you barely get chance to come to right lane

What I learned from teacher here is that they expect you to do right turn and U-turn or whatever possible later and coming back and going straight instead of left turn on a country road if you can’t make a left turn without disturbing the traffic behind. This is best choice you can do if the there any traffic behind you.

Thanks for the nice videos, is examiner ask you to go this way and so on only once while driving ? is it ok to ask him which way you said incase i didn't hear him may be for surety, how to make it more comfortable to avoid confusions ?

Hi, Welcome! Examiner usually asks in two ways: 1. Take me to x using the directions on road ( for eg arlanda) 2. Take right/left at the next junction or roundabout etc And to avoid any confusion, before the exam just mention it to the examiner that if you didn’t hear properly or got confused, you might ask him/her to repeat Usually they are very friendly and co-operative. Just be relaxed during the exam, that way they will also feel relaxed with you :) Good luck!

Hi, Thank you for your tips! They are very helpful. I've failed twice in Järfälla for obscure safety reasons. I'm thinking about changing the exam place to Sollentuna because I heard it's easier. What is your thought about this?

Yaa Sollentuna would be a bit easier compared to Jarfalla. But since you already attempted twice in Jarfalla, I would assume you are pretty much familiar with the route. You can focus only your mistakes and dont worry about the route/speeds etc.A completely different route might be an overhead. Check my Sollentuna route videos, if you think its easier then go for it. In your next exam they will emphasize on the mistakes, pay more attention

Thanks for the explanation, it is really helpful,I have question regarding the commination barrier, can the examiners conduct exam in English in case the student is unable to speak Swedish, or can you elaborate your case in connection with question,thanks!

Hi, thanks for your appreciation. Regarding language barrier, i would say if you are planning your exam in Stockholm, more often than not the examiners are ok with english. In my case, he was communicating with me in english, not that fluent though, so i had to reiterate and confirm if i understood correctly. If you are not sure that you have understood correctly, you can repeat and he/she will confirm if thats correct or not. Most of the examiners are very friendly and try their best to make us feel comfortable, since they know are we are already very stressed! Good luck!

was it a manual car or automatic in your case? What is specific to manual car?

In my case it was an automatic one. For manual pretty much everything is same but the difference will mostly around choosing the correct gear in different circumstances, skipping gears when possible and eco-driving But i am no expert, so better check with some driving school

When i asked my teacher about real track, they said they never know examinator can take you everywhere they want. Then on test day i had totally new road i never drive before. My teacher said if i want to get driving license i have to able to drive all around Sweden 😂😂. Then we had warm up lessons before the test. my teacher took me to a new road and i made some mistake and she gave me some bad comments 3 mins before the test!

Yaa..thats true! Better to know the track but also more important is to have confidence to drive on unknown track. You might not get the exact track unless you are very lucky but there might be some roads common in your exam like the highway etc. Good luck!👍

How many lessons you take and how many lessons i have to take i mean practical exam

For me it took around 16-18 classes, cant remember the exact number. Usually 20 classes or less should be good enough in my opinion if you practice sincerely. And please check all my videos before you start your classes, you will know what exactly is needed for the exam and practice accordingly Good luck!

@uzairraja1957 I am not sure but my guess is you need to turn 18 even for practicing. You can check with any driving school near your home.
