My dad's absolute favourite song. He would play it in the car, roll the windows down and make us all sing it. I remember the way I felt back then. I felt safe. Then my dad passed away very suddenly. Listening to this song again has shaken my soul, I can see him so clearly in the lyrics. I miss my dad so much. I was so unprepared to say goodbye. Im just trying to find away to be okay.

Think about it. At this very moment while your listening to this, thousands of people could be listening with you. Our struggles may be different, but we all have one thing in common, we can remember. Remember our birthdays with loved ones, remember our friends from long ago, remember a time that we can't return to. Treasure what you have. You never really miss something until it's truly gone.

There was a time I used to look into my father's eyes In a happy home I was a king, I had a golden throne Those days are gone Now the memory's on the wall I hear the songs From the places where I was born Upon a hill across a blue lake That's where I had my first heartbreak I still remember how it all changed My father said "Don't you worry, don't you worry, child See heaven's got a plan for you Don't you worry, don't you worry now" Yeah! "Don't you worry, don't you worry, child See heaven's got a plan for you Don't you worry, don't you worry now" Yeah! There was a time I met a girl of a different kind We ruled the world I thought I'd never lose her out of sight We were so young I think of her now and then I still hear the songs Reminding me of a friend Upon a hill across a blue lake That's where I had my first heartbreak I still remember how it all changed My father said "Don't you worry, don't you worry, child See heaven's got a plan for you Don't you worry, don't you worry now" Yeah! Oh, oh, oh! Oh, oh, oh! Oh, oh, oh! See heaven's got a plan for you "Don't you worry, don't you worry, child See heaven's got a plan for you Don't you worry, don't you worry now" Yeah! Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Yeah

I was 15 when this song came out. I was happy and I didn't know. I wouldn't totally understand the lyrics at the time. 10 years later, I do. Listening to this song brings me such an odd nostalgia. The song itself is nostalgic (because it brings me old memories), but the lyrics are too, it's just that I couldn't understand them before, and now they've become even more nostalgic than they were when this song was released.

Transitioning into a more difficult life makes you realize life is easier in some ways being a kid besides academics of course high school is difficult the math and physics they teach today confuse our parents and oler people in general. Weird how when your a kid you want to be an adult and when your an adult you would rather be a kid.
