Nice restoration! Just one tip: feel free to include in the video the part where you take off the painter's tape after painting, that can be very satisfying to watch! :)

Very nice! Loved to see a previously restored tool being utilized in this restoration. Next is the vice? Lol

Why would you put body filler on a spanner...?
@АндрейНикитенко-ф4с4 жыл бұрын
The tool was in good working condition. Why restore it? And now only put on the shelf and admire, if you work with him, you can scratch the paint. :-)

ahh yes a papegoj-tång (parrot wrench) as we call that version here in sweden :)

Svenska verktyg har ju hög kvalitet... :) In swedish this tool is called "rörtång".

This particular spanner is German-made though, but the mechanism was first patented by a Swedish company(Bahco, maybe?)

Very cool! I wonder if there was a wooden handle at one time?

Thank you, I checked pictures of other pliers of the same brand, and it is all metal :)

No, it was all metal, no wood.

DAKO. Made in Germany. Einem Qualitätswerkzeug mit all seinen jahrealten Gebrauchsspuren wurde der Charakter wegrestauriert. Schade darum. Weniger ist oft mehr.

I don't like to use a sand blaster on paint, or heavy rust, it contaminates the media.

justastudent of the world, I don’t care. Just as long as I get to see sand blasting. 😜

Thank you :) there is a tool in youtube video parameters to change title and description for different languages. I use google translate for titles and try to find the best match
@Maks_Morkovkin4 жыл бұрын
@@forgottentoolsrestoration1786 I dont see it, there is just one field for video name. Or it appears if you choose that your video is on multiply languages ?
@joshschneider97664 жыл бұрын
It's not a setting the public sees just the uploader. Goodwill are it in whatever the default language is in your browser or mobile app unless I'm mistaken.

Nice job. Do you know how old this tool is? It looks like a precursor to Vise Grip pliers.
@Hellforsa4 жыл бұрын
This is a parrot wrench, made like that because sometimes as a plumber you need to loose or tighening fittings in cumbersome spaces. This wrench gives often more leveredge :)
@TukikoTroy4 жыл бұрын
Very nice, but too much of the speeded up footage. It makes the whole job seem rushed.
@justastudentoftheworld39404 жыл бұрын
It is hours of filing, want to watch hours of filing?
@TukikoTroy4 жыл бұрын
Not what I'm saying. With better editing not everything has to be done at fast forward. For example, we don't need to see every single piece of sandblasting from beginning to end, or everything getting the wire wool treatment. More editing, less fast forward makes for a more entertaining and less rushed-looking, stressful film.

It's good, but you forgot to remove smelters from foundry, forging and stamping. You painted parts that you shouldn't paint. Michel VIDAL (Perfectionist) C'est bien mais vous avez oublié de supprimer des bavures de fonderie, de forge et d'estampage. Vous avez peint des parties qu'il ne fallait pas peindre.
