I kinda get Kingston's points I think. It's about putting out a piece of art that you regret. While you're producing it the people around you are telling you it's great. I can very easily see someone regretting something like that. Derrick in this very episode talks about changing his mind on reparations. It is the person's fault and Kingston acknowledged that, but people can be peer pressured into situations. They can also just have poor personal judgement and fuck up. I don't know the full context of the track btw.

The total eclipse, during totality, was the most literally awesome thing I've ever seen. It is not just the sun being blocked out. You can see things normally invisible to our eyes I can only describe as eldritch. Pictures do not do it justice at all. And just so you know, during totality, for about 3ish minutes, you can and should look with just your eyes.

There are 2 main reasons why people are for reparations. The first is that black people were promised land and a beast of burden when freed. They were never given either. The second is because we're capitalist and private property like land is the biggest source of wealth, aka what we stole from the Indigenous. Giving them income from that private property loss is the best we got to make things up since returning the land isn't exactly possible
