We've gotten some of those trailers for Assassin's Creed Shadows showing how awfully that game's details are going to be and in said inside looks we get to see the backs of the heads of a number of office workers there. But... hilariously no real close ups of them on their computers looking at the files of the actual game. I think in the one or two office look inside we get there's a computer or two with the Ubisoft logo on it + some of the digital capture work their stuntmen did shown after. Overall, despite this it and other recently made games just sound or feel bad to watch.

It's really as simple as make a good product before anything else. By making a good game, movie, show, comic, etc. it's inherently inclusive because more people can enjoy it regardless of personal differences, even if targeted at a specific audience originally. Inclusivity also isn't something you can force or shoehorn in and have work, it has to be/feel natural. The more you focus and put the emphasis on it, both as the writers and from the character's perspectives, the more artificial it is. Which is why DEI consultants are destined to fail at at their one purpose.

Sweet Baby and other Consulting companies like them: "We make games better. We do narrative consulting and sensitivity reading. We encourage those that support our message to threaten or terrify their marketing teams to give us what we want or else..." Journos: "Consulting companies like Sweet Baby have no say over what goes on in the games they work on." Getting some mixed messages here. If these companies do nothing, why do they exist in the first place? And why are they getting paid millions in some cases for doing nothing? The worst thing about this entire schtick is the intellectual dishonesty.
