Sweet harvest | Oxbo 2475 corn picker | Organic sweet corn harvest 2017

No self propelled forage harvester this time but something altogether different in the maize! We find a brand new Oxbo 2475 sweet corn harvester at work in a crop of organic sweet corn in Ens, the Netherlands. The machine is owned by specialist contractor Breure from Swifterbant.
The 2475 model from American manufacturer Oxbo can be used with a 3630F 6 row maize head to pick sweet corn or a tine pick-up for harvesting green (french) beans. The articulated machine is based on the Super Jack harvester. It has a 275 HP John Deere 9L engine and John Deere cab. The tipping hopper has a capacity of 15m³ and can lift 6.350 kg.
Whilst the crop is being harvested the farmer is incorporating the stalks and left overs into the soil using a brand new Massey Ferguson 6715 S Dyna-VT pocket rocket with a Dragone flail mower, Evers subsoiler and Skyros disc harrow. This combination is owned by organic farmer Zonnegoed VOF Ens.

Das 2475-Modell des amerikanischen Herstellers Oxbo kann mit einem 6-reihigen Maiskopf 3630F verwendet werden, um Mais oder eine Zinkenaufnahme für die Ernte von grünen (französischen) Bohnen zu pflücken. Die Gelenkmaschine basiert auf dem Super Jack Harvester. Es hat einen 275 PS John Deere 9L Motor und John Deere Fahrerhaus. Der Kipptrichter hat eine Kapazität von 15 m³ und kann 6.350 kg anheben.
Während die Ernte geerntet wird, werden die Stängel mit einer brandneuen Dyney-VT-Taschenrakete Massey Ferguson 6715 S mit einem Dragone Schlegelmäher, einem Evers Untergrundlockerer und einer Skyros Scheibenegge ausgestattet. Diese Kombination ist im Besitz des Biobauern Zonnegoed VOF Ens.

Seems a lot of time is wasted by the machine having such a small 'bin' causing rows to have to be left out when cutting, with a lot of unnecessary driving around the field, as the 'bin' is getting overloaded too quickly. Surely a bigger 'bin' or tow a trailer - (which could be dropped) - and an empty one hooked on is the answer.

I watch a lot of farming videos, for some reason, and do notice often the farm will have a transfer tractor/trailer. Maybe it's not economical to do it that way or something.
