Many people hated/disliked Eun Hyuk but he was actually one of the biggest reasons that people are alive or were alive. He was actually the only one that can make the tough decisions. He may sound heartless, but you can't survive by taking action based on your emotions. Focusing on surviving makes him look like the bad guy, but he uses the smartest ways possible instead of the morally right ones. And if it wasn't for him, most of the people there would be dead ages ago. He was my favorite character through the whole show and I really admired him and his leadership.

I still get goosebumps from them burning the slime monster, solo because it shows how humans can be destructive especially when they choose to be ignorants. Ignorance is a very scary thing because it draws everything you mentioned about judgment and being monsters. Perhaps we can also say it's all about perspective? We judge Hyun Su at the beginning and then our perspective about him changes and we judge him differently. Who says our perspective about the mercenaries wouldn't change if the story was on them? I really like this show for how it highlights the human side (good AND bad) on a monsters world. Really looking forward to the second season. I have a theory. In the last part of sweet home (episode 10) you can see that Sang Wook and Park YURI planned to run away while Sang wook was carrying Park YURI behind him, and you can see again that the two of them just sat at the car door while talking because Park YURI was shot. And you can see in the very last part where Hyun soo is in the back of the armored truck and Sang Wook suddenly wakes him up because Sang Wook is driving the truck. and Sang wook's clothes are military. It's heartbreaking to me that at first, because Eun Hyuk was "emotionless" and "heartless", masking decisions that the cast disagreed with because of their emotions and feelings, and because humans sympathize with emotions we see him as a monster. He was a monster, in a way. And at the end we finally get to see his real emotions and come to understand him right when he was acting more human, he suddenly is a literal monster.

The first time I saw him walk out I thought “either this boy is a distraction, is trying to get himself killed or he’s about to take them all out”. Now that we’ve seen what he looks like fully transformed and we’ve seen what someone is capable of after mastering there special infectee abilities I can’t wait to see what Hyun-su does next. Now that his spear is gone and the guy who made it can’t make another that means he’ll have to find a different weapon or figure out how to use his bladed arm without going on a rampage. The way I interpreted the ending was that cha was trying to sacrifice himself to save everyone. Eun hyuk was trying to end it for himself so he didn’t become a monster himself to protect everyone else. And that the firefighter woman is playing 2 roles to save herself and the save the people. I was still confused on why the gangster had cha. Idk if he was trying to save cha from being captured and was trying to do the same thing as the firefighter woman and play 2 sides to get to the truth. But with all that being said, i hope they do a season 2. Because i also have a feeling that Eun Hyuk might’ve survived. Because the building was crumbling, but not on fire.

I couldn't imagine that Sang Wook is now dead and controlled by the blood monster personally. It's jusg from a writing standpoint it wouldn't make sense to kill him off. He had too much character development and way too much more needed. Aa far as tropes goes he was a student and the Christian guy with a katana was a master truly leaving a huge difference in his life. The only way i can see it working if it turns into a battle between his body vs the bass player, since they both took on student roles in this season... Which would complete his story a little nicer but it would still be incomplete to have killed him off now

Both are good stories seperately but as an adaptation the live action is really bad since the webtoon characters are extremely passive and their character arc was completely removed. The three main characters hyun, jisu and the police guy's characters were extremely passive compared to the webtoon where they take the spotlight. Hyuk and dusik were great tho, also the sword guy was pretty good.

Can you explain the snowing at the end of the series where Hyun-su walks out the apartment, since if you calculate the timeline it shouldn't snow that hard or even start snowing at all and also since it completely stopped snowing after the residents escaped out of the secret tunnel. Also, I was wondering where the truck was going and how it was there that Seong Wook was driving with Hyun-su in it since the military surrounded Hyun-su and Seong Wook wouldn't be in the military and driving alone. So did he kidnap him? Or get Hyun-su from the military?

Lesson learned: don’t get too much hope or attached to the characters who did a lot because mostly they are the one who dies and the useless characters still remains. i cried so much for the sword man ☹️ he doesn’t deserve that 😭 he should survive that those useless characters. But the directors said kill them so the viewers got hurt and feel the sadness of the movie. We: 🙄 yeah you made our hearts teared apart ugh! So the "judging a book by it's cover" message was just a woosh moment for me. I didn't think the military was justified in shooting at a teenage boy. I was actually more sad and horrified they shot at him than rooting for them to take down a "monster."

As a reader of the webtoon from the start, im sorry to say i didnt like how the series turned out. I love the casting though. I heard feedback from others who didnt read the webtoon said they liked the series. Well one of my reasons i can never like the series if bc how they killed hyuk. He died beautifully and with more dignity than just being buried under bricks!!!

It reminds me of silenthill 2 because of how the characters are portrayed but the main character in SH2 turned out to be the monster in the story and the monsters/enemies in the game were materialisations of the characters psyche.

I feel like Eun Hyeok is infected just before he “died.” Because when he was looking at his family photo in his last moments, there was blood falling on the photo. There was quite a lot like the blood usually coming from nose bleeds. It doesn’t show his face, so I’m not positive. But my theory is he got infected and is still alive. Just a theory 😻
