@@Cynthia... patsy Cline never wrote any songs. She composed the music to “a stranger in my arms” and “don’t ever leave me again.” That is not the sane as writing a song. The person above is lying.

Patsy is considered by most, including myself, the greatest female Country Singer. There will never be another like her. Only 6 or 7 yrs of recorded songs & then it ended. Yet people are still talking about her & discovering her music today. 1st time l discovered Patsy Cline was the radio played "Walkin' after midnight." l was like WOW! Who is this singer???? l found out after the song was done & l have loved her ever since. wish l could of seen her live in person. But l was only 2 1/2 yrs old when she died. She sings with such emotions. Listen to "Faded Love". you can hear her crying!

I used to be a radio announcer, and one time I played Walking After Midnight. I got on the mic afterward and said "Patsy Cline, Walking After Midnight. Not a good idea, Patsy!"

The funny headband was because she was hiding stiches scars from car accident a few months earlier. She did a 45 day stint at a Vegas casino in 1962, making her the FIRST FEMALE country singer to headline there. Sweet Dreams and Faded Love were released after her death in a plane crash in March 1963.

What a contrast between vocalists then and now. Patsy, dressed simply singing without autotune or lots of jumping around distracting us with crazy choreography, maybe live ( though a lot of TV shows were mime). Pure talent. What a great loss. Please play "Sweet Dreams" (1963), released after her death, or "Crazy" (1961) - two songs that show the pure beauty and deep soul of her singing. Thank you...

This show she was on was shortly after a major accident she had. Ended up passing away from another accident at the age of 30 and such a huge loss to music! I think the studio version had more power behind it as she was nowhere near 100% in this video but still great nonetheless! My favorite songs I love to hear from Patsy is "A Poor Man's Roses (or a Rich Man's Gold)," "Faded Love," "Sweet Dreams," "San Antonio Rose," and I'll end it with "Walkin' After Midnight" which was a huge hit for her! Patsy is my Queen of country!

She was killed in a plane crash in March 1963. One of music's most tragic losses. She and country superstar Loretta Lynn were very close friends - so close that Loretta named one of her daughters after Patsy. Check out the movie Coal Miner's Daughter with Sissy Spacek playing Loretta and Beverly D'Angelo playing Patsy. They both did their own singing, and it is eerie how they both sound so much like the real thing.
