Green Carnation is a new name to me, I'll try to listen to some of their other songs. I like this point of view and this conversation between the tree and the leaf is not so far fetched. We all can remember feeling drawn to exploring and growing up, and the feelings of insecurity that come with it. Maybe we understand the POV of the tree too, but we've certainly been the dancing, dangling, and finally the falling leaf. Thanks so much for this splendid entry, GG!

If you liked this one, the right starting point for you with Green Carnation is probably The Acoustic Verses--nothing but this same laid-back approach. Outside that, if you're feeling adventurous, their best-known (and best) is probably Light of Day, Day of Darkness, a single hour-long track that goes on a journey through proggy, symphonic/operatic, and full-on death metal roaring, all in one place
