It's such a tribute to the glory of Skynyrd that this song wasn't even on an album! Think about what a great catalog of songs you have to have for THIS song to be left on the cutting room floor. I feel the same about Four Walls of Raiford and Was I Right Or Wrong as well. Just unreal great songs from the glory days. No band will ever touch the honesty and raw truth of the original Skynyrd. Only four short years of music that is immortal.

I totally agree! Mr banker, was I right or wrong, and four walls of Raiford are some of the most unknown, but best songs. Only true skynyrd fans know about those ones

I love the how musicians make faces while playing live. or when the camera is on. Trying to look like they are so into the song. They make none of these faces while practicing any tunes they have learned. when your at home, in you little jam area learning a song no faces were made. But, hey, non-musicians eat it up.

A live performance is much different than practicing at home. When ur live u tend to go for it even more. As much as your comment sounds condescending, you figure there'd at least be a valid point at the end of it lol 😆

@@hunterwest54 Thanks for chiming in Hunter, I'm a guitarist as well. Been playing for over forty years. Metal, Blues, folk, classical, etc. My point is that you have to practice licks and songs hundreds of times to get them perfect and personally, when im working with a metronome, I'm concentrating on getting the lick or lead perfect. no faces are being made. when I'm Practicing with my buddies, and were trying to get a song tight, no one is making jam faces. so if you can play it then without making contorted faces then you can play it on stage without making faces. I will admit that if I'm noodling over a backing track, and I'm making stuff up that I haven't practiced a million times, sometimes there are some slight contortions.

@SkyEditor17 I think if ur focusing on what ur face is looking like instead of playing the song your mind isn't in the right place anyway. Don't play for the wrong reason. This is the kind of advice nobody needs. Sorry. Sometimes people actually feel the music. It's called enjoyment. It's what happens when you play for the song and not your ego.
@skyeditor1740 Жыл бұрын
@@hunterwest54 I'm not focusing on anything, im stating a fact. Over the top faces, while playing live is about 99% showman ship. Obviously Your a face maker or you wouldn't have felt the need to give your two cents worth. Paul gilbert played fast metal for decades and never made a crazy face, now that he's playing the blues he feels the need to "make the faces" Jonny Lang is another with the over the top jam faces. I'd bet the farm that these guitarist can play all of there songs, with just as much passion, at home/studio. and not feel the need to make the contorted faces. I just find it kinda goofy,
