Pizza looks great! I like a little more color on the crust though. I might try this but give the crust a few minutes of pre-cooking before topping it.

@@PaulTheBeav It's hard to get a good pizza crust with normal kitchen equipment. Pizza places will use thick metal pans and high temperature ovens for maximum heat transfer.

I was living in the bay area. A fancy pizza restaurant opened in oakland, they had a pizza made with peanut butter sauce topped with bacon and potato. I'm a huge pizza fan, I make homemade pizza once a week. This was one of the best pizzas's of my life!
@twosocks19763 күн бұрын
I have been making something similar, that I found on the King Arthur Flour website, for a couple of years now. I had to increase the amount of dough the recipe yielded, but it's a sheet pan pizza, and it's one of my favorite things to make. This sweet potato and bacon and jalapeno topping looks and sounds phenomenal. I'm going to have to try this sometime, maybe the next time my wife is out of town, visiting family.

Using convection or traditional bake on oven setting?
@txmike19452 күн бұрын
Not an answer but, when I had an old style oven (think before the 1980s) I would use a perforated pizza pan and put it in the oven cold. Then I would set the oven to 420 and turn it on. The heat coming from below would make a crisp crust which is hard to get with modern ovens.
@txmike19453 күн бұрын
Microwave sweet potatoes, quicker and uses less energy. Unless it is winter and you want to heat your kitchen. One of my favorite baked sweet potato use is in waffles with added shredded fresh ginger. I freeze them and after re-warming, eat a half for breakfast with butter or orange marmalade.
