@@Agodschild7 Damn right I know! Mainly Trouble Funk & Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers. I'm from the DMV. But sampling is and has been a main source of Hip Hop and Hurb is no exception. One could argue he pioneered sampling/replaying samples and using Go Go drums because Hurb introduced Go Go to a larger audience at the time as well as incorporating R&B hooks and grooves into Hip Hop as well. He should get the same flowers as Dre/Diddy/Dupri if not more for being the 1st in line.
