Back in 88 I went to see Salt-N-Pepa, and she (Sweet T) was the opening act. I hadn't heard of her, but she was so fly, and so memorable, I instantly became a fan. Lol' she was so real; I specifically remember in the middle of her set, she was out of breath and she kind of bent down to catch her breath (for what seemed like a minute), and the crowd started kind of booing, and she was like "shit y'all I'm tired, damn, can I catch my breath" and the crowd started laughing 'Lol. The other acts that night were: Super Lover Cee and Casanova Rud, Rob Base and E-Z Rock, Kid-N-Play, and Salt-N Pepa.

I Love Sweet Tee too! I had the opportunity to meet her some years back. She was mad cool! I have not heard of any updates. But she still does shows. She just did one in New York honoring Eric B and Rakim for being in the game for 30 years. She has an Instagram page sweetteethemc. As far as I'm concern, Sweet Tee held it down amongst her peers especially the ones that had solo careers from the likes of : Real Roxanne Roxanne shanti Queen Latifih Antoinette Mono Love I think what set Sweet Tee apart she had unique style that was quiet different and somewhat smooth&fast, plus the beats she chose to rhyme over were always bangers especially "On the Smooth Tip" As matter of fact I put that as one of the top 50 beats of hip hop history. And that beat was definitely Hiphop-crack.
