It's no real wonder that Jessica lost the Homecoming Queen title. Part of being popular is being well-liked by people. You get people to like you by being nice to them. She seems to forget that the so-called dorks and geeks she continues to treat like crap votes also count. Elizabeth tends to be nice to everyone, therefore she is more liked than her sister. Jessica is more liked by boys because they perceive her as "easy".

The casting choices are pretty bizarre too. Every book spent like 5 pages describing each character and somehow you got it totally wrong? You can't even say you cast them for their acting skills, so what gives? When you're casting Lila Fowler, aim for someone who looks/acts like Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase from Buffy). She was the perfect prototype. Their Lila looks more like that nosy gossip no one really liked. Todd is way too model-handsome, Winston is just a kid growing into his looks, not the ugly chick-repellent clown everyone considered him to be, and i agree Scott should have been cast as Bruce Patman. it would have worked, because as I recall, Jessica was very interested in Bruce when they were in high school before he married Lila. I gotta admit tho, the Daniels sisters have excellent body language even if their dialogue sucks. I could always tell which twin was which.
@whiteshell16 жыл бұрын
Terrible casting for Lila. She was a bitchy I'm too good for everyone character in the book with long flowing brown hair and this one is just goofy and cannot act (she is the exact character she was in Clueless). I thought the rest were cast pretty close to the books. The actor playing Todd is too angry all the time though. Todd in the book was always smiling. It's also unfortunate this was made in the hideous 90's fashion era.

Everytime Enid had something good going for her, Jess was right there to steal it away. But the good part about it, is always backfires. No. 2: The acting was kinda good. But not perfect. No. 3: WHERE ARE THE PARENTS?! Not one episode went by that I always ask that question. Bonus: I really liked Winston. He was my favorite character.

LOL this is funny. These books were strewn ALL over our house growing up. My sister read Sweet Valley, I read Fear Street. But we both loved Buffy. It was the perfect mix of a small town suburbs (Sweet Valley) where horrific things happened (Fear Street), which is our poison of choice i guess. I read a few of the books growing up and she read some Fear Street editions. My favorites were the thrillers, like when Margot the identical not-twin nutjob tried to kill one sister and take her place. It was cheesy soap opera BS but it had merit. But holy cow, this series looks bad. We never got to see it, thank god, it would have ruined our childhoods. Bad writing, bad acting, bad dialogue, the scenes don't even seem to be professionally edited. Oh 90s shows, y u so crappy? The Goosebumps TV show wasn't much better.
