This is that country music mainstream refuses to put on the air anymore...theres a Garth brooks vibe to the lyric and delivery of this particular song and the fact hes not a superstar is insane. Jimmy my names Tony Pena I'm from Illinois and your song coal keeps the lights on made me cry I'm not a coal miner but I have a friend that I went to school with couple years older than me he was on varsity football and wrestling teams when I joined he became a coal miner and lost his life it uplifted me so much sir that a man like you coal put words so delicately and powerful into a song....I just wanna thank you for that heart touching experience you performed thank you for serving this country and giving us freedom I'd join but I had three open heart surgery as an infant but if could I'd service as well so god bless you for serving for those like myself that are not able to keep writing songs and posting them please your an inspiration and a angel sent from the LORD
