I think you'll find it's the opposite... It is easier to co-operate when the social interactions are simpler because it is easier to read the other. Humans may have a social structure that has evolved more complexity, but it is the complexity that makes it prone to disagreements which devolve into worse situations. So whilst the magpie and dog do get along, it is due to the absence of social complexity that allows them to co-operate

The Staffy is imitating the magpie. Young magpies always flop on their side and play by practising grappling/play fighting each other. The dog is instinctively accommodating the young magpie's needs. Our german shepherd and a magpie we raised used to do the same.

That is an intense love-in: the staffy licking the maggie's toes and the bird preening the dog's jowls. Has to be seen to be believed. What adorable animals! They are so free and easy and gentle with each other- they are aware of the huge size difference and they keep it in consideration. I never knew there could be that level of awareness between two such different vertebrates.

I do have a coulpe of Macaws, and other birds. I am only assuming it is rare that Molly comes back when she flies off but idk? Regardless, it awesome you give her the choice! My best guess is that she's around 2yrs old, and I think she'll stay with your family.... HER family!! It's now 1am here, but I can't wait to watch more videos!
