+EclecticFlavor. I listen to old school radio stations every day and there is so much great stuff music they don't play like this for example. Michael Baisden use to play different stuff. In Philly we got legend Chubb Rock. He plays great music and he gives history on the music plays. Love his show!

Listening to this song and reading through all the comments, several thoughts crossed my mind. This entire soundtrack was amazing The Producer's deserve a standing ovations. Caron Wheeler has such an amazing voice and soul II, soul gave us some amazing music. They deserve all the honor and the success they receive . Their music fit perfectly in the 90's and the late eighties, they took the music to the place it was supposed to go. Thinking back on this movie and the soundtrack there were several other amazing black films that came out in this same era that were incredible such as: Waiting to Exhale, Boomerang, Love Jones and New Jack city and they all had amaaaaaaaaazing sound tracks. I am so glad that I spent my early twenties in the 90's . The music,the movies,the culture was so fun and dynamic. Hip hop and R&b were so well connected by artist like Lauryn hill,the Fugees ,Nas,faith evans,TLC ,Aaliyah ,Guy ,Aaron hall,Jodeci ,Mary J blige, Heavy D &the boyz ,the list goes on an on. This song is beautiful and brings back so many amazing memories. The current state of r&b and hip hop is no comparison to this era

warrior1975ify I am right outside of Charleston, WV. Born and raised. When this movie and soundtrack was out, I was actually living about 10 minutes down the road from where I grew up. My very first place of my own! I agree with you about times being so much better back in the 90s than today. Or even in the 2000's!! Music seemed better, economy was better, everything seemed bigger and better. Boomerang, Waiting to Exhale, New Jack City, Boys in the Hood, Menace to Society, Poetic Justice, and who could forget Don't Be a Menace To South Central While Drinking YourJuice in the Hood!! Now THAT summed up the 90s in a nutshell! Lol! One of my fave comedy movies of all time! Things were just so great back in the 90s. Simpler and the music was DA BOMB! I worked at a music store all through college from the early to mid 90s. So thankful and happy that I got to work in a music store when the music was GOOD!
