I had an idea. What if you made 2 small braids or fishtails as the 2 pieces to do the infinity braid around. Then you wouldn't have straight pieces and it would be easier than holding the foam rollers to the head.

Yes that would work! You would have different looking pieces as the fishtails would leave more of a ‘crimp’ look but I think it would still look great 😊

I tried this last night. I couldn't get it to look as neat and tight as this when it was up (it's much harder on yourself) and was prepared to be disappointed, but figured... what the heck. I've put the work in, so I'll leave it in and if it looks really wonky, I'll flatiron it and/or braid the heck out of it. My hair is fine and doesn't hold a curl or wave and I have yet to find a wave/curl method that has results that I like. Wellllll. This is it. It wasn't quite as pronounced as this (I will try again and try to make it neater and tighter), but it's just the right amount of volume and wave without making me look like the reluctant four-year-old flower girl in someone's sweaty summer wedding. One side didn't turn out quite as wavy, so I disguised it by putting three small Dutch braids in just on the side to make it almost like a faux-undercut kind of look. Which would look stupid with my normal straight hair, but looked pretty rock & roll with the waves. Thank you for this. This is brilliant and I'm going to do it a lot more often now.
