Those are just too bright for my liking. For overheads I highly recommend SM81’s. Completely flat freq response. Just use a high end eq for freq boost if needed. These seem like “pre eq’d” mics to me.

Are these mics strictly for capturing instruments? Or, can they be used for singing as well?

@javx03 Flac would be better. Have sound bites available in FLAC. Better compression. No loss.
