Good question - in standalone mode, the Symphony I/O routes any modules inputs directly to its outputs. So, you could connect the digital outputs on the Symphony I/O to the digital inputs on your PC's audio interface. However, you would not be able to use the Maestro software on PC, which gives you access to more parameters than the front-panel controls give you. Hope that helps!

This unit has a custom Thunderbridge to consolidate your cables to your computer down to one Thunderbolt cable. Lots of possibility here.

You don't need a card you can use it through USB with incredible speeds but for recording 192K you will need to get the thunder bridge for Thunderbolt connectivity or symphony card. If you plan on recording through this as far as vocals you will need an expansion card that you can buy in the $1995 configuration which will give you 2 channel mic xlr inputs. Its confusing I had to do research.

Starting from 09:17...the general understanding about the Symphony's 'standalone mode' is that the unit can be utilised as a 'standalone' converter with a PC operating with any other audio recording interface? Could anyone from Sweetwater or Apogee confirm this? I think most of us had the impression that it can't be utilised with a PC even on the standalone mode.

How would you connect the Manley Variable Mu and an analog EQ such as EM-EQ2 to the Apogee Symphony I/O convertors
