Very Nice & thoughtful B-day gifts, fun video, and good plans. Take a little time to get your NYE12x12 prepped, thread floss onto a needle for each New Start. If doing a Center start put that One stitch in. I loaded up needles for each of mine, did the Linen projects at the beginning & switch to the easier to stitch Aida as the night went on. Thank you for the great video! I need a Christmas stitching plan for sure. I like to stitch in season and didn't start Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I am thinking about starting a new project every day on the 12 Days of Christmas (12/25 - 1/5) then working on one each month. I think it's neat when people change colors of designs, even when I like the original colors. It's always fun to see different takes. On the knitting front - my hobby is collecting hobbies. I knit, crochet, sew, quilt, spin yarn, needle felt, embroider, draw, paint, etc. So I'm happy to talk you through any knitting questions if you need help at any point. Switching from straight knitting (scarves, shawls) to knitting in the round (hats, socks, gloves, etc.) can be confusing at first, especially deciding on double-pointed needles versus circular needles.

That's great that you're going to start a knitting adventure. I'm a knitter too and it is really portable. As a multi-crafter, I've been trying to come up with a good planning system. Your self-framed piece looks lovely. Just a word of warning, if you are getting a frame cut remember to allow a little extra as when you stretch and pin it, the edges of your stitching may disappear. Ideally, stretch and pin first!
