Long wondered what the reason is for a limiter in equalization just for 60 Hz. You can get 60Hz choke filters for electronic devices that plug in directly to outlets, why not sound?

how does the noise floor setting function on a simple compressor? is that the boundary, above which, the sound is processed, and below which the sound is left alone? or what? anyone?
