Solid yet loose, Marco is one of a kind. The complexity and Technical aspect is dancing with the feel of the grove in all his playing. Amazing drummer, amazing human.

There are so many outstanding drummers and we’re lucky to have this platform to watch them. Particularly this drummer though, his grooves just speak to me. Danny C and Marco M. My personal favorites. So good I don’t even attempt to emulate.

Same here. Can’t forget bill Bruford or cobham either!

Those have got to be some of the cleanest single strokes on a bass drum I've ever seen or heard. Wow.

I just saw Marco play for the first time at the Gramercy Theater this past week with Guthrie Govan and the Aristocrats. Guthrie is an outstanding guitar player, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Marco doing his thing. Fantastic drummer with incredible feel. He is very passionate and seems very humble and genuine. Well done Marco!!

It's crazy how he's playing these things and making it sound musical, instead of an exercise. Even his solos are quite musical, and you can follow the beat, even if you don't understand the structure yet. He's always either going back to a groove, or an original idea he starts with and even when he starts going crazy, he either goes back to that groove, or starts a new one. That's refreshing, when usually drummers that play a lot of notes, don't really do that.

He tells a story with his solos. At least to me. His style definitely resonates with me.

Fantastic as always. Marco seems like a grown up kid to me and I mean that in the very best way. He seems like he even amazes himself in this video and others I have seen him do. As he said in this video he likes risk and he is pushing himself here. Very inspirational. And someone mentioned his work with Plini. The parts he played in the middle of Paper Moon are so tasteful and yet mind boggling. Keep up the great work Marco. Bill.

I don’t know any other drummer with this level of independence. 4-way independence is mighty. But he developed the technique further with something called inter-dependence.
