Marvin pointing out that reverse racism is still not the end goal we should all be aiming for is excellent. 👌 I'm not a person of color so I can't say for sure, but I imagine that whatever praise they receive they would prefer it to have nothing to do with their skin color. Another great episode, this was hilarious the sable joke had me rolling. At the start of AEW I saw someone compare Tony Khan to Herb Abrams & as time has gone on he really really does feel like a another Herb Abrams even down to ( apparently according to a picture I saw from dynamite ) now getting involved in angles just like Herb Abrams did. I personally don’t mind Triple H taking a few shots at AEW, under Vince wwe let AEW take shot after shot at them but as Vince lost power or the wrestlers lost faith in him you started to see a few top wrestlers finally responding, like Roman with the needle mover shirt but if what Triple H said was shots they were said in a general statement that casuals wouldn’t notice the shot & honestly I think you can tell Hunter has been wanting to fire shots for years. I personally think Tony should stop firing shots Vince isn’t in charge anymore…ironically it’s the Kliq..an older & more professional Kliq..yes but it’s still the Kliq now in charge of wwe. But anyway keep up the great work man

My thing with Swerve is that he seems to be anti-black. This can be through many forms, the most applicable being colorism (which a dark skin black man can be for reasons far exceeding this comment). What Tony is doing here seems disingenuous because 1. Where’s the build between Joe and Swerve for this to feel like more than just a title change? And 2. Look at how he started this reign off? Don’t care for Swerve as a person, but he is the front man for Tony’s parade for disingenuous inclusion. If all black AEW wrestlers are being allotted so many opportunities by Tony, then why is every black female wrestler only ever going for and/or winning the second tier women’s belt? Did Tony ever address the “bubble” Jade said she was never in, hence why all of her stuff was completely separate and independent of 70% of the women’s roster? Swerve’s win feels like how it will feel in 50 years from now when a black actress wins Best Lead at the Oscars, becoming only the SECOND to do it and the THIRD of all WOC. Meanwhile, the Angela Bassett gets an “Honorary Oscar”. A long rant to end with this: Hobbs, Starks, Willow, and Kris (injury prone to me, but people like her), conspire to make Tony fear for his life.
