These two E’s are just too funny cause dad (Magnificent15) is trying to have some cooling off time and alone t8me when his E’s find h8m at the Pond and go fly right to where he is and stand there looking at h8m as if to ask him “ well, are you here to feed us dad?” The one E definitely has something to say cause I do hear he/she squawking like crazy in unhappiness and then I believe the one who isn’t happy puts on its Dracula personality in hopes that would change dads mind and have dad feed them but that didn’t work so he/she thought mayday a Dracula chase would work but no and then dad eventually flies away and the E’s are left disappointed. Thank you Lady Hawk for this actually kind of funny video of the E’s and dad Magnificent15 at the Pond. These is one of the toughest lessons that eagle parents have to teach their kids.... *Start to look for your own food!* Notice, I didn't say hunt and fish for yourself. Those skills are learned after they leave the nest and are living in the wild. It could take a year, or two, before they can even be a little proficient at it. And, they may still be stealing and finding roadkill and carrion even when their heads and tails have turned white. Apparently, it's not as easy as some like M15 make it look. So, it's no surprise that the visiting/intruding eagles are always looking to abscond with a free meal. When M15 arrived at the nest, he was smart enough to know that Harriet was a good thing. Paying attention to his hormones, he set his sails on acquiring her for a mate. But, he was not exactly the man he is today. 😂 In fact, he was a little "wet behind the ears" and Harriet had to teach him the eagle way of married life. On average, the very sad truth is that 50% of eaglets don't live to see their first birthday, with the first few months away from the nest being the most fragile for them. The good news for eagles from Florida is that they migrate up the coast to the Chesapeake Bay area. Along their route, there is an abundance of fish that either wash ashore or are caught by other eagles and sea birds that can be stolen. So, they have a much better than average chance of finding food. Plus, the weather is favorable and it's Spring into Summer, as they make their journey north. Once there, they will find many eagles to learn from and also to steal from. Praise God, our two cuties are learning the stealing and mantling lessons rather well and now they are learning the tough one. *_Dad won't be there to fill in the blanks!_* On this Earth Day, let's pray 🙏 that they find abundant food on their journey and lots of eagles along the way to watch hunting and fishing, as they thrive and prepare to be parents, in about five years time. *Happy Earth 🌎 Day* ❣️ TYLH! 😻 Wishing YOU, and everyone who visits here, a very blessed weekend! 🤗🦅❤️🙏💐💕

I believe that some of these intruders are homeless due to Hurricane Ian. When a paired Eagle loses its mate, and it’s nest, and finding a new mate to build a new home with is not as great, they remain homeless so to speak. This makes intruding other nests for food more common as they have no place to take any prey they may catch, to eat. It is amazing how these Eagles in that area even found refuge during the hurricane although l suspect they can sense incoming bad weather and move to areas out of the path of the storm until it has passed. Kind of like how a cow heads to the barn when the thunder begins to roll in per day. I dunno. I am a novice in the Eagle world so learning my way through 🙏🏻🦅🦅🦅

An hour later at 11:14 he shows up in the nest with a squirrel (or a super large rat 😳) for them but neither come. He waits 4 minutes then flies off to the east side of the pond with it but it was out of the camera view. I think one of the E's got it and worked it's way too the little tree in front of the pond with it as M15 perches on the snag next to it until 11:48 when they all 3 fly to the ground by a tree nearer to the road and I'm pretty sure it's E22 that claims and eats a food item at that time. I watched a few times and can't figure out if where that food item came from as M15 was perched just before 🤷🏼♀️ I wondered if possibly it was the same squirrel/rat? 🤔
