SWFL Eagles ~ F23 FLIES OFF ATTIC TO ROAD AGAIN! 😲 She Flew Away Safe Avoiding Oncoming Car 4.14.24

Bayshore road is a very busy street and the eagles put themselves at risk each time they see roadkill in the road. F23 flew off in the nick of time with that car coming right at her!. She could have been hit. A few days ago, I shared a link to a petition started by some friends who photograph the eagles at the nest to change the speed limit on Bayshore Rd. and to have signs installed alerting drivers to be aware of low flying Eagles in an attempt to protect our beloved Bald Eagles. Would it be possible to have something published in local community newspaper. Just to get the word out, and bring awareness to the need of protecting the eagles. Anyway people need to slow down and signs would be very helpful. I know you are doing your best. I hope a door opens. 🙏🏼

Oh my gosh, not again!!!! This is so disturbing, it was close Lady Hawk. I'm afraid for F23. Watching those cars fly through there day AND night is just a terrible accident waiting to happen, it's just a matter of time. I hope and pray this doesn't become a pattern for F23. E23 chases after her and is also at high risk. Something desperately needs to be put into action , failing to do so will only cause the death of our precious Eagles. This is concerning to say the least. I'm so worried Lady Hawk. Please everyone, for those of you who haven't signed the petition, find it in your heart to do it NOW otherwise Lady Hawk will be posting terrible news we don't want to hear. I was traveling on the 5 freeway south about a year ago and was fortunate to have what looked like a that year fledge bald eagle fly across the carriageway right in front of my car and then fly alongside my car. Luckily I’m always observing and managed to slow down. I am not a fast driver, but some people use roadways as race tracks these days. We are the voice for these Eagles and must shed light on awful incidents like this potentially happening. I’m so glad E23 is fine. Signatures have been signed today at various communities.
