I'm from South Auckland 80's born generation, and I can definitely relate to Spycc. That was me also catching the 454 bus to otahu, then to town, back when 2 stage bus rides were $1.40, doing "Roll calls on the window with the sand paper, seat backs get the vivid thoe" "gettin stocked if your shoes clean, that's the routine" "having scraps on the way home" "A snap back for a crown, milk crate for a throne" lol he ripped that shit up with the Auckland street slangs and lifestyle. The other dudes verse was ok but funny how it went from that to "Milo, peanut brownies, dunking pringles in to flavored dips" lmao. Where i'm from you gotta be balling to eat Pringles and dips lol. I heard this song on Mai FM and tbh I never ever liked NZ rap artists until now. These men are amazing I love their flow especially on a track that doesnt have "beats overload" i just can't fault it, the video clip is raw and the lyrics beautifully encaptures NZ hip hip for "our generation".
