Just bought a 2023 Swift Eilite 480 dealer special. Picked it up on the 2nd Dec 2022. So far so good had 5 nights away on a CL in that cold spell early Dec. snug as a bug in a rug, Heating brilliant. -12 deg one nighyt. All site taps frozen had to go and by some bottled water, from a super market, had enough for toilet flush, and the kettle, counldn't use the water heater. No shower, strip down wash, order of the day.

Hi - wow sounds like you had a real cold stay away! have done -8 in a motorhome and that saw us using a water container inside getting water from the loo blocks. Glad your enjoying your Swift sounds nice and cosy for winter use-thanks for contacting the channel on your van.

Like the look of this van, but still think my 2012 Coachman VIP matches it in many ways. For you Andy, it has a window in the bathroom albeit a clear one, when I would prefer opaque glass (plastic) and the front bed support is of the pull out frame type not slats. I like the tall fridge in the Swift and the pull out baskets in the kitchen cupboard which my wife misses from our previous old Lunar. Keep making the videos and like you I wish Coachman did drop down locker fronts, we have only a small one on the nearside bunk.

I agree I prefer a window in the bathroom for good ventilation. Why did they take it out.

Hi - well its down to cost basically - Bailey for some years took the windows out - now back in on Unicorn ect - buy most washrooms in my opinion need a window - thanks for commenting Suzanne

The roof light they replaced it with is a lot more expensive than a window - a mid Heki £500 retail.

Is the front pull out table the same level as the table when it’s up! In our Elddis Affinity it is.

We had a 480 elegance and loved the layout and all sorts of things about it almost our perfect caravan didn’t even mind making up the bed each night BUT bed comfort was err dreadful I mean really dreadful even after trying toppers / duvalay matress topper etc the lumpy cushions just don’t give proper support SO we sold it within 18 months such a shame as it had everything we want save for a good nights sleep

Oh what a shame - the 480 was lovely but the upholstery was a tad lumpy thought after use it would bed in forgive the pun - but a lovely tourer what did you replace it with?

No, need for window in washroom. You’d lose all that wall space for shelves etc. The roof light is huge and you can open it. Just we like to open our window to one notch for ventilation, pity you can’t do the same with roof lights. (Idea here maybe for Swift?).

Apparently Swift had request for windows in washroom at the show - I still like one but I know what you mean regarding storage but fair point-thank you

I completely agree with your comment about no window in the bathroom. Without mentioning any 'details' but it would be good for getting rid of steam from the shower and er smells(?) or is that just me! We have a 2019 model with a window, and apart from when it's really cold, the window is nearly always open. Great review in your inimitable style by the way.

Jonathan great to hear from you - I am a loo window fan and in vans I have had always had one - ideal when heavy rain no rain coming through a roof vent ! thank you for your kind words too

We thought no window would be a problem but there is a huge skylight. Let’s loads of light in and if it’s dark put the lights on.😂 You can open it for ventilation, hot air/steam rises.
