That’s sounds like he says 2700 to me. Regardless airport elevation is ~700 ft so it would have only resulted in capturing the ILS later. From there the glide path would have guided them down correctly assuming it was tuned and working correctly

@@subsimer6856 If it wasn't for altitude the plane wouldn't crash, would it? No altitude means plane on ground. And you're right, altitude wasn't the cause of crash, however when approaching on VNO airport, the plane was 40KM/h faster than usual and thousand feet lower than it should be. Either human error(read chart wrong) or some other issue. There is other footage which shows plane steering to the right, right before impact.

The landing lights beam suggest high AOA but it could have been: a) STALL due to configuration/speed mismanagement b) sudden loss of thrust (it is a Boeing :P) c) windshear d) too intense rwy lighting/optical illusion of the position e) hijack by teddy bears from the back ;D
@kaytrell3 күн бұрын
@@BobHill-s2c And taking into consideration that this was a cargo flight, a sudden change in center of gravity (CG) and center of pressure (CP) could also nose dive the plane - something went terribly wrong... It doesn't seem (from this angle) like a confusion (''...crap we are too high/over the glide slope, push the stick and cut the engines'') but more as you said a wind shear or even worse, loss of thrust... Another thing I can't see here (clearly) is that the weather on the approach - visually, it looks foggy but not dough thick - at least enough to spot the airport landing lights: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3zLmIuJgdmgqpY The conditions were if nothing else, similar as in the video... Here is another report - take a look at the footage in the report: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2jboHmviNWGnrs

Seems like the pilot may have mistook a street or highway for the runway: controlled flight into terrain.
@tristantriton81153 күн бұрын
that nosedive near the end looks more like a runaway trim situation. If they did stalll and they tried to break the stall then that could explain the nose down dive with not enough time to recover. Everyone on the audio sounds tired so that could play a role in identifying the issue and resolving the issue before it becomes critical. Time will reveal what happened. RIP to the soul/s lost.
