Certainly not elegant simplicity, but I do like how complete each form is. I also like all the rotating ridge panels. I am fascinated by how hollow he actually is. There's lots of open space in the legs and the chest compartment. I'm wondering if he's solid or feels too light for his volume?

I think there's a lotta people overreacting about the legs. They honestly don't look bad at all. Sure, the initial little "explosion" may seem like a lot but, it's genuinely not bad if you pay attention.

This is a beautiful figure but I wish the high-end third party figures didn't feel obligated to make the transformations so complex. I know some are complex because it's the only way to get both the aesthetic and functionality of both modes right but others feel as if they're trying a BIT too hard to get that premium price point

It's like, 400% more hinges to gain 25% more accuracy to a simplified TV animation model. I agree that this trade-off is not attractive.

@@phillipthorne8363 yeah. I'd prefer a slightly off-model or different design than the G1 variant and get a solid robot and vehicle mode rather than an over complicated mess with a 100% cartoon accuracy attempt. Stuff like that is how we get the most recent MP Bumblebee

It's funny how after all that fancy engineering to get the Alligator's chunky lower body condensed down into convincingly humanoid legs, the head just folds down onto his back G1 style :-P

I remember the original toy. The legs were basically hollow, from where they swung down from the alligator's back; and the gator's legs just stuck out on the the sides of the robot's legs.

OK. Any Transformer that takes nearly 4 minutes to transform is a Transformer I will get two of, transform one once, & then leave both on the shelf, because that does not appeal to Me at all as something to actually play with.
