This brings me back. I had the original G1 Hoist as a kid (got it for my 8th birthday). Was probably the most robust TF toy, but way too many pieces and accessories to misplace.

I think the "clicking" parts into each other is new for these vids but it's a nice touch.

Damn, they actually managed to make an insanely sunbow accurate figure that DOESNT look like a nightmare to transform. Unsure about how it feels and the tolerances and whatnot cuz I haven’t handled one, nor do I plan to, but they actually seem to have done a good job with the engineering here and making the transformation fun looking.

The only piece that I'm cautious with is the tab that closes the gap around his neck. It's very thin.

Interesting choice to design the toy without a crotch, still pretty good but it does mean that in certain poses it can look abit odd

I like how Hoist has that construction arm of his and I completely forgot about that tow.....thingy that he was towing Bumblebee with, in the beginning of this video. And I like how they're using their Trailbreaker mold as well! I also forgot how fat he looked.

I just received mine and honestly? i'm severely disappointed with this Masterpiece! especially the whole section of the plastics around the head which holds the toy together! it's too thin, should have put die-cast in there as this WILL eventually break very easily! he looks weird in robot mode, like Steve Urkel weird the way he stretched up. He is supposed to be short and stubby like the cartoon... I should have not pre-ordered this item, he looks only good in photos, in hand he looks crap and feels that way... Such a disappointment... seriously, this is the last official Masterpiece i'm ever going to buy!

That's how I feel as well but the Xtb Hoist is a bit off in areas and the Ft Hoist looks like total crap. I wasn't too happy with the Takara Trailbreaker either but they will be my placeholders until a better looking Trailbreaker and Hoist come along.
