A demonstration of how a combined underwater and land-based motion capture system can be used to analyse movements of swimmers. In this video, we're analysing swimmers in Sweden's national swim team, studying the start, dive and the first 15 meters underwater. Shot in Borås Swimming Arena, Sweden.

Amazing! I've used the Qualisys system before. I wonder what adhesive they use to stick marker to athletes' skin so that marker doesn't fall off during diving and swimming.

Very interesting. Does Qualysis or Visual3D account for buoyancy or hydrodynamic effects of water or is the underwater capability just used for kinematic analysis?
