@verward4 жыл бұрын
@Yonggeun dude, do you even know who Ryan Lochte is? Lochte can beat phelps. The only reason Phelps got the Olympic 4-peat is because Lochte did the 200m back in '08 and '12. If he hadn't Lochte would've atleast won the 2012 gold medal, like he did in 2011.

@@verward no lmao. doesnt matter if he swam the 200 back earlier, he was just never better. out of the 11 times theyve faced head to head, lochte has won once. using ur logic phelps swims 8 events at the olympics, phelps should be the one more exhausted. the truth is lochte always chokes at the olympics.

Who else think that vyatchanin dived too deep and it actually slowed him down. Or else he will win the race.
@danielcavalier7116 жыл бұрын
Calvin Wong The underwater is the fastest stroke, it can't slow you down, in fact, the underwater requieres less energy to swim than the other strokes. It can leave you without oxygen, but it won't slow you down...
@jabba9696 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Cavalier, while I get where you're coming from, this is not exactly true... Whilst the underwater is indeed the fastest stroke (for those that have mastered it at least), it seemed like Vyatchanin came to the surface in a rather hurried manner, also starting his flutter kicks too soon. Going too deep can actually be a problem as well as you will simply travel more meters going down and up again. The fastest underwater stroke is about 1m under the surface of the water, going parallel to the surface.

is it fair to say Vyatchanin might have a crack at gold or silver if not for the overly-deep underwater dolphin? He slowed down visibly (fatigue?) at the last 15-20m.
