Hello Sandy, the 411 stays. Longer stroke and lower 1st gear are well suited for back road explorilng. And the frame geometry is very good. Time has afforded me memory of 400cc's being the entry into "Big Motorcycles"..... But, along with that knowledge is the awareness of the old farms and homes, employers and friends, ( often both), in whose homes i was always welcome. The dwelling are there, but a knock on the door would prove me a complete stranger. " They don't know me, and I don't know them" (well said) Thank you .

G'day sir, i'm always happy to see your videos especially when you're out on your olde chug, i've watched them since you brought her home & gave her ( or him) his name. I was just thinking that maybe your vintage club is not so many olde bikes but possibly?? The olde geezers riding them. Suggested with much respect for all of you. I'm an olde geezer myself, just turning 76. I have two bikes & they have names also, they make life very enjoyable when we are out on a small gallop in the countryside which in decent weather, winter or summer is nearly a daily dose of pure pleasure. Anyway, thanks for the entertainment, i look forward to hopefully many more. When we are up to our ears in snow here, i'm out riding with you & your pals. Bye now, ric, ontario canada, my season is just starting to open up, hurragh!!

Thanks for the morning ride through the English Countryside. You, all are so intrepid riding in the wet and poorly maintained roads...It reminds me of my sojourns through Kent many years ago, although the roads weren't as potholed back then... Narrow roads winding through Hop Gardens and Orchards...Your comment about your village is so true. l grew up in a small Essex village where just about everyone knew everyone else. When l lived there it was still truly a village. Probably hadn't changed much in the preceding 100 years up to WW2. However the post war building boom changed it forever...Just like where you lived.... Motociclistas, el Ultimo de los Espiritus Libres ...Greeting from España...

@bazabiker4870
@bazabiker4870 6 ай бұрын
You mentioned changing the chain, but didn't say "and sprockets". If this is the case, the new chain will quickly wear/stretch to match the worn sprockets. Always replace chain & sprockets at the same time. The drive sprocket, hidden under an engine case, is the smaller sprocket and therefore only several teeth are in contact with the chain ( unlike the rear, larger sprocket having lots of teeth in contact with the chain), for this reason the front sprocket has a greater load per tooth (& therefore greater wear). Apologises if you already knew this / changed theses as well
