Don't feel bad, it took me a few wash days to get the swing of things, too (no pun intended) 😄 Courtney is the reason why I started to learn that there is was to take care of natural curly/wavy hair. I find it's a good relief for the back to stand up. I do add a bit more products & I do the LCEG( leave-in, curl cream, curl enhancing gel, light hold gel & a hard hold gel) for my high porosity, dry hair. Yesterday was my best wash day, since I've started this journey about 1 1/2 yrs now.

You demo’d this super well, my unfortunate issue with upside down styling is I have low hair density and need to work my part to hide my cowlicks and awkward crown lol

Thank you! I know Courtney used to use clips to cover a gap from a cowlick, but styling upright definitely works if that works for you 😊

i tried this the day after she posted the video it was a game changer for me my top layer which barely waves finally got in the game after her method. I have been at this for just a year this month and my hair really took a long time to transition just now my hair is starting to look decent I don't know if I'd have keep going at it if I didn't wear hijab to hide my hair now I'm not so embarrassed by my hair anymore

Styling upside down gives me slightly bigger curl clumps, but I decided to switch to styling upright majority of the time just because it was a little uncomfortable to be hanging upside down (also my chest makes it even harder, trying to suffocate me 😅)
