Probably, the most beautiful song I've ever heard. Corinne and Andy are just perfect; gorgeous, talented and most importantly soooo humble. I thank God and them for letting me hear this heavenly music. Thx Otakucris. I hope you're still on the business.

The other day i was going thru some old cd's. I had only 1 Swing out Sister from the 80' I forgot the ex was a big SOS fan. After listening to the mix of SOS on KZbin, I must've stayed Impaired when listening to Music during the 80's & 90's......This group is probably the most under-rated group i missed out of except " Break-out ", I will see them the next time they are in the WASHINGTON DC area ! Dam i love this groove !

Saw them in Milan and will see them again in London next month. Amazing live band, and I was not there when they had the horn section! I completely blew past this album. Big mistake! This tune --WOW, WOW, WOW! I always tell people one needs a very sophisticated taste to "get" their music. This is as elegant as it "gets."

This is probably my most favorite song. It embodies the days and nights I hope to have when I get to meet Sofia, in the NewEarth to come. "as long as the night can last without day" and "oblivious to time" is how I see what we've been calling "heaven". I saw her in a coma...so no promises, but I'm hopeful. When I think about being there with her, I cry. This song has SUCH a soulful sound; no other song can touch it.

It's always tough to pick "the greatest SOS song" but you're right, this is one of the greatest and one of my favorites. Every time I hear "Making the Right Move," I'm instantly transported back to an evening I spent at a Seattle jazz club, located high up in a high-rise overlooking the sparkling lights of downtown Seattle. I was there to hear Cassandra Wilson who was then picking up a lot of critical acclaim and attention for her "Blue Light "Til Dawn" album which she was touring to support. I'm reminded of that particular venue not because I think Corinne reminds me of Cassandra but because that dark, smoky jazz club with the wall of full-height glass windows overlooking sparkly downtown Seattle would have been THE perfect intimate setting for a soloist like Corinne backed by a consummate musician like Andy to have performed this song. That would have been perfect, just perfect. (BTW, for me the "greatest" SOS song has to be their "breakout" song, "Breakout," followed closely by "Twilight World" just because those were the songs that introduced Swing Out Sister to me and got me hooked for life [besides the fact that both songs are great in their own rights].)

For me this is by far their best ever track, not least for being so easy on the mind after a hard frustrating day. And i know this sounds odd but as much as I love the entire song, including Corrine's soothing voice, but Andy's keyboard work is sublime, especially at 6:58. It only lasts for about 4 seconds and is such an easy play, and yet it just topped off a brilliant piece of keyboard work.

I understand exactly what you mean. Those piano notes that create a sense of time standing still. I know the piece by heart and as soon as I read your post I guessed it must be that place! Great performance by SOS. I also love the ethereal guitar solo with that sound that produces wonderful sensations and a marvelous moment. Everything is sublime. I don't forget Corinne's beautiful voice enveloping it all with her silky tone. Pure bliss, this band.

I couldn't have said it any better - you really nailed it, htsum! Although not a well-known hit, it's become one of my favorite SOS songs once I heard it on their "Ultimate Collection." Whenever I hear it, I think the perfect setting to hear this song live is something like a jazz club I visited 17-18 years ago in Seattle. It was set high up in an office building with windows all around so you could see all the night lights while listening to very smooth jazz... Corinne would be perfect!

This has to be one of THE best recordings SOS has made. It's rare that an artist has multiple masterpieces in their catalog and SOS has THREE (imho)! Kaleidoscope World, The Living Return & Somewhere Deep In The Night. Out of those three, I especially love the "Live & Organic" feel of The Living Return. On this track and others, you can feel each musician's breaths, body temperature and heartbeats. It creates a "Mood" you can immerse yourself in. Brilliant.
