Swing Out Sister’s You On My Mind arranged for solo piano

Solo piano arrangement of You On My Mind, a Top 30 UK hit for Swing Out Sister in 1989. The song is by band members Corinne Drewery and Andy Connell, along with their producer Paul Staveley O’Duffy. The sleeve notes to the album Kaleidoscope World (a cassette copy of which is on the music rack) also thank Jimmy Webb, and there are some amazing chord changes and modulations that recall Webb songs like “Up Up & Away”, as well as compositions by the likes of Brian Wilson and Burt Bacharach. It is (roughly) in the key of D, altogether the use of pedal chords mean that the left-hand bassline barely features a D.
