This was actually recorded with a very expensive camera. However, it's just bass and piano so don't expect to hear any drums (cymbals) in the high treble because there isn't any.....

@@swingbram Interesting! What kind of camera was it? It captured the bass quite well, I suspect the microphone was typical quality, I have a rather high end camcorder with an average mic, the video is where it's at ;) An honor to get a reply from you by the way, I'm a huge fan of your playing!

How did you get that strumming sound so cleanly? Just pressing down the keys soft enough without hitting the strings with the hammers? I tried to pull this off myself, barely works on an upright and on the grand I couldn't get the same clean sound.

Hello Bram, after watching you and countless others of musicians such as erroll I’ve been inspired to start playing. But I don’t really know where to start, I know all the basic chords and notes, and have played classical pieces in the past. Could you please help me out a bit with any tips because I have no clue on how to start playing jazz. Thank you for posting these videos!

To start with jazz, chords progressions are key Next to that, you have to listen to Ragtime/Stride Piano and bebop in order to understand the available jazz piano techniques
