Swing Quest Golf

Swing Quest Golf

Күн бұрын

In our first full live golf lesson here at Swing Quest, I take a mid-handicap player through his paces, fixing a high vague ball flight and turning it into a consistent penetrating trajectory. This also covers how to take a divot with the golf swing, and how to get more consistency with your irons.
To help with these changes, we've teamed up with Hackmotion to track wrist angles and make sure Jacob is getting the most out of his practice. To learn more about Hackmotion and to unlock a discount, make sure to check them out here www.hackmotion...

I like that you called it a 'rehearsal' swing. I try to think of them as that, not as practice swings. You practice on the range; you rehearse your shots on the course.

Please do more of these "live" videos. It's much easier for me to translate the information to my game when it's being taught to another golfer. After watching this video, I started paying attention to my wrist angle on my back swing and I hit my first ever 300 yard drive and am striking my irons the best I have ever hit them.

Damn. I tried working on this at the range, and it changed everything. I adapted it a tad and put it on my driver as well - same deal. I had been working on my wrist movement previously, but I couldn't get it right. Everything else in my swing and grip was pretty dialed in. After the range I played 9 holes and shot my lowest score yet. Thanks so much for this!

I've never noticed, when playing with mates, what the wrist angle is at the top. When you stopped Jacob at the top, then he made a swing, it was really obvious when he was extending.... Great breakdown, and I reckon usable at the range. 👏👏👏

Fantastic video, guys! I truly think the channel needs much more of these one on one type practice sessions! After a couple more practice videos, maybe take Jacob out for a 9 hole course lesson implementing the new swing changes?! Great job, Jacob! The smallest change can be truly difficult!

Very interesting. It really shows how a lovely flighted ball doesn't necessarily impact correctly to get the most distance out of your swing.

This is so good. Don't think I've ever played with an amateur who doesn't extend too much - me included! The Spiethian over-exaggeration drill is the only thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow. Even then, when I watch video back , I'm a bit extended. It's a process.

Brilliant video. Excellent switch up of content. I got down to 18 fairly quick and grabbed a lesson. I was told my grip was too weak and was encouraged to incorporate a stronger grip to increase ball speed and promotion of a draw, so this video is bang on the money for me. It felt horrible on the course, and I reverted back to my old ways. That’s all my fault. This has served as a lightbulb moment.

I have lower back issues. However, when the back is feeling flexible, I play this way. Something that maybe wasn’t mentioned is…. These wrist positions take more hip rotation, and right side bend to hit it correctly. You CANNOT stall out the body. This will result in a major hook. Get the hips open, and add some right side bend through the hitting zone. The strike will feel amazing, and the launch angle will lower.

Across the line at the top because trail arm lifts and gets too deep which naturally causes lead wrist extension. Keep elbows pinched, feel like left thumb pushes club to the ground at top of swing.

Gs up and knuckles down 😃 that’s all one needs in life Great video this I actually forgot about my left hand angle of attack . Rahm’s got a really bowed wrist . So maybe attempting a Rahm ain’t such a bad idea , but the Rahm feel will probably be more like zero on that machine . Just thinking their 🤔 the average bear won’t have this handy digital kit tracer thing. But Iv just had a great invention idea a more laymen’s version of this could be a gloved bubble . Like the spirit level but on a glove 🧤. The water bubble method can’t be beaten they been using since Egyptian times it’s how we find true level horizontal or vertical . Just like the Horizontal horizon lol 😜. You got a pen 🖊 bubble you could potentially attach a pen bubble to the left hand golf glove . But the invention would have to be refined to be flexible maybe see through rubber but attached to the back of the glove with the water bubble . I was watching Tom Suguto post some company wanted him to show off the right handed wrist device to show your getting compression . That device had a clicking noise to it . In theory they could do the clicking device maybe for the left hand also 🤔 I don’t think Iv seem a training Aid for the left hand which is not digital . But I’m only a high handycapper so what do I know . But making good progress Im into the golf now but I should have got into earlier . Footballer growing up and Tennis mainly bit golf was more a family affair with my dad and my brother but back then like so many real novice . This whole Utube thing and screens 📱 you can learn the swing right here on utube . I ain’t got the doe for lessons right now this is me . These days are just such a flurry of information in general , this is the Age of Aquarius ♒️ it’s pouring of the waters of information

Do you have anything for people who are maybe the polar opposite? LOL. I've got VERY stiff wrists, always have. Shallowed out my swing path nicely but because wrists are so stiff block everything out to the right. That'd be interesting!

Awesome lesson, quick question with the lower ball flight an increased distance does it effect the ability to stop the ball on the green or does spin increase with this strike?

Won't trying to drift the arms forward at impact like that ultimately encourage a flip through the ball? The club needs to release at some point.
