It’s been years for me, trying to get back into b-boying. I swear, your video tutorial’s is urging me to make a come back. I started Bboying during the late 80’s and 90’s. I’ve been wanting to get back into it. There’s hasn’t been a day not wanting to Bboy again. Brother, you’ve brought hope to those’s and including me, to learn the technique, the warm-ups and the conditioning. Your Step by step tutorial brother, kudos!! They rock!!! I look forward to more of your Bboying tutorials! Peace ✌🏼 out brother! Stay Fresh!!!!

Ah thanks my bro! I'm happy to hear it's inspired you to jump back into the mix of things. It's dope for me to speak with someone from the 80's and 90's gen of bboy. Those were my inspiration for starting to dance etc!

One tip that really helped my continuous swipes (and one that I still need to work on) is landing with the entirety of my foot. Since swipes generate a lot of horizontal momentum, it's easy to miss and land on the side or toe of the foot. This will ruin the height and timing for the next swipe, so it's helpful to go flat-footed when landing. Another tip that helped me was swinging the elevated leg in a circle. It helps with gaining height as well as providing horizontal momentum; the hard part is timing it correctly with the jump of the swipe. I'm still working on getting 10 continuous reps, but hope this helps.

Does it matter what foot you land on? I go counter clock wise but land on my right foot. If so I have been landing on the wrong foot then I have to relearn it which might be a little frustrating.
@AJ47SoulMavericks4 жыл бұрын
Think of the swipe you have now as a variation and you learning to land on the other foot is just a new addition to that variation! ;) I made a cool little swipe variations tutorial which may give you some ideas

When I try to do the swipe sometimes the knee hurts. Is it mean that I’m doing something wrong?
@AJ47SoulMavericks4 жыл бұрын
Yo! I had the same problem! It means you aren't squeezing your glutes hard enough. You Can test this by doing a bridge. Squeeze and the stress around the knee should dramatically reduce. Give it a try and let me know how you get on
