Thx it was kind of cheesy to say the least but the machine shop didn’t grind down the stems so you do what you have to.

Wow! That is an interesting way to grind the valve stems :). Good thinking on that. I’m not sure i would’ve come up with that. Looks like it runs great at the end.

Any info on how to replace the 74 inch belt on the Swisher 44 inch tow behind ? Do I have to remove the engine ? Thanks !

Yes you have to remove the engine but it is not a super hard job.

@@generalprinciple5921 Well good news. The 44 inch finish cut tow behind did not require me to remove the engine. I just removed 2 bolts on the engine plate mounted to the blade deck and it gave me the 1/2 inch I needed to slide the belt under the drive pulley. I did also have to remove the outer nut on the disengage rod to slide the belt around that as well. Once I had the golden info, it was not too bad. Good luck to anyone out there trying to find info on the swisher 44" finish cut tow behind mower. Probably a reason you can't give them away and so many are on the junk pile.
