RV mechanic here. Weird trade, but its a living. I like that the slides are entirely mechanical and have no motors. For longevity, that means that they will last forever. The structure appears to be fiberglass and aluminum. The outside looks like filon, which can be problematic. The wood behind the fiberglass mat likes to warp and sag if you dont keep up on the caulking. With how many slides, cabinets and penetrations it has, that thing is probably 10-14 hours to scrape and seal. The roof is solid fiberglass or plastic, which is great! A basic waterproof seal and there is no maintenance on the roof at all. The roof strap will rot away in about 5 years though. On the other hand, it has no other canvas or cloth, which is rare for a pop up. The gas stove, bathroom and kitchen are not in slides, so no moving plumbing. (You would be surprised how often that happens, and how easily a five year old flex tube breaks.) It has a six gallon water heater, gas and electric heat, a microwave, 30 amp hookup, and plenty of space for batteries and solar. No air conditioner, but plenty of windows. And it's light enough to tow behind the old minivan. Overall, 8/10. Get rid of the strap, and use braided steel wire rope with a real thick coating to prevent rust. Cut a hole in the back wall, and stick a window style air conditioner in it. Make the windows next to the dinette and bed openable from the inside so they can be used as fire exits. Put a real door on the bathroom instead of that flimsy screen thing with magnets. And most importantly, get outta here with that 65 thousand dollar price point. Its a bare bones pop up with two manual slides. It aint that cool.

With $65k I don't need a trailer and my family can stay at hotels for decades. Also no maintenance, and no getting stuck with an RV and continuous cost. The math doesn't work out to get an RV. I just realized, how to invest my money in trades to fund my family's future travel cost. Thank you.

65 isn’t even a fully optioned unit neither. Add ons for fresh and black water tanks as it dosent come with any. Coukd easily get close to 80. I bought a 2015 flat nose school bus from my local school board. 48k miles with ac/heat. 5500$ spent roughly another 10lb on the interior, on the nicer side. Sleeps 10 if needed. Spent another 7500$ on the powertrain. Deleted emissions and def system. Larger turbo and maintenance. Just rolled over 110k miles and will travel 75-80mph

Given the price, yes, a traveling job where you're living out of one of these is what about becomes the only way to rationalize paying for this much for the features. Then again, one would want to throw a tarp over the top of it if one is in the northern latitudes where it's snowing when they're wanting to get up and move if travel for business is frequent as opposed to being periodically stationed.

What I love about differing opinions is it reminds me that we're all different people with different personalities, different wants/needs, specific likes/dislikes, and its just the way it is supposed to be. Just cause it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it isn't exactly what someone else is looking for, and I appreciate the diversity out there and thinking outside the box. Being a small cargo trailer user for years, I can say that the design of the strap which holding the top down means disaster. The exposure of the strap against the wind will cause the strap to deteriorate in no time. From what the clip showed, the strap is the key force to hold the top down (I could be wrong) . Once the strap gives way and lose the power to hold the top down, there will have the risk for the wind (from driving) to lift the top up. If that happens, I cannot imagine what could happen to the trailer and the lifes of the people in the cars behind it. We can never underestimate the power of the nature.

I'd LOVE to have one of these. Too bad I can't afford one... or ANY camp trailer for that matter. I'm a jobless, homeless, disabled and unemployable U.S. Marine veteran, and the VA doesn't pay enough for disability to even put a roof over my head. I'm currently living in my broken down jeep grand Cherokeein a Walmart parking lot because I dont get enough money to even get it fixed. But, yeah, I'd love to have one of these, if only to have a bed to sleep in instead of the driver seat of my jeep so I can relieve the pain of a severe lower spinal cord I jury. It's excruciatingly painful to TRY to sleep like I have to. Beautiful camp trailer though. I could really put one of those to good use.

There are a number of organizations that help people in your situation. Do a Google search. I am sorry you have to be in this position after your sacrifice for this country so we can enjoy freedom. Please pray to God in Jesus' name. He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider. Just tell Him what you need and ask Him to guide you to the right places for help. I know He will help you. He's come to my rescue many times. He loves you and wants to help you, but you need only to ask.

Heavenly Father , Comfort the weary and the broken-hearted, and bring solace to those who feel abandoned and alone.
