Very cool footage (as always). The weather conditions were crazy and Nino on 29er again I wonder if he will use a 29er on olympics not so much time left and he's been always using 27.5 till last WC race.

I think it's a bad idea for Nino to be switching to a 29er so close to the Olympics. That decision should have been made in the off-season. Why mess with your equipment and fix something that isn't broke when Rio is only 2 months away? Go back to the 27.5, Nino, and bring home a Gold!!!

+Sepp Amier My point was the decision to change should have been done in the off-season. It's never a good idea to change equipment in-season for nearly any athlete. Nino is by far the strongest MTBer this season...that's why he won, not the fact that he had 29" wheels.

Julian Nel Because new equipment takes time to get used to and can have problems that need to be worked through. No problem with riding 29” but I would have made that transition at the start of the year, not right before one f the biggest races of my career. Love Your comment two years later after the outcome is well known...Armchair quarterback. Wouldn’t have heard a peep from had he lost, real brave and opinionated now though. Nino won that race and would have won it on 27.5”s just like he had since he started riding that wheel size. He is BY FAR the strongest MTB rider.

Nino with a full is faster to climb hills than others on hardtails ! That seems impossible to have so much more power than others. It's 1.4kg more ! 8,350kg for his hardtail vs 9,750kg for his full
