Swiss Family Tries Local Veg Lunch In INDIA 🇮🇳

So this local veg lunch is our last lunch in Bangalore before leaving. I forgot to publish this video so I am doing it now. There is a number of videos that will be published so stay alert. There will be a lot of changes in the future, of course also there will be more countries that we will visit. Please leave me any suggestions as to where, maybe except the obvious ones. Indian vegetarian food is very nutritious. I think Mrs. Moonshine, being a vegetarian, was quite pleased with it. And it looked great served on a banana leaf!

I wouldn't say it is “very nutritious” The majority of the Indian vegetarian diet consists of high carbs and fried in oil. Had a hard time getting a healthy high-protein diet the time I've lived in that country

But ur probably calling north indian food as indian food which is incorrect. Even north indian home cooked food is not at all the same you get in restaurants. Their home cooked meals are simple and non oily, not the onion tomato gravies u get in restaurants

16:59 Wow you have got the sequence down pat! Papadam can be eaten many ways - As a kid I liked crushing it over some rice and putting me some ghee and salt and mixing & eating. But mostly you break pieces of it and eat it with every mouthful of Sambhar/Rice or Rasam/Rice. You can even eat it with curd rice along with a Pickle. So you make the rules - whatever gives you pleasure! 21:19 seems to be a Gulab Jamun Rasgulla is white (Though also dunked in sugar syrup).

@@yvesthesleeve Forgot this - Now it has also been turned into a snack/appetizer called Masala papad where they put chopped coriander, tomatoes & onions along with some peanuts & masala powder on top of a fried pappad not sure if you have had this. That is also good. They also make papad out of tapioca, jackfruit (Love this!), Ragi (finger millet) etc.

The hotel where you had lunch is a very regular type of hotel in which a normal Bangalorean will have lunch.. there are thousands of such hotels.. may be owned by south canara(udupi) people.. they have set standards.. good heigene, moderate rate.. fresh food.. lunch costing about a dollar.. they provide hundreds of varieties.. all fresh food.. 😊😊
