The reason why people go to Tanjong Lobang Beach in the late afternoon/early evening is to see the beautiful sunset there. You can literally see the sun slowly “going down into the sea.” Plus the weather is cooler by then.

Hope you enjoyed your stay in Miri. Just a quick tip, if someone offers you a ride, it would be polite to ask if you can sit in the front driver's seat (if it is unoccupied) instead of squeezing everyone in the back. This particularly applies to Chinese families as my father would always scold me if I were to sit in the back when he drives as it implies the person driving is like your personal driver or chauffeur which can come off as rude.

Kids gotta walk, eh? 😂 Love that beach. Quite popular in Miri. 12:42 We get sun all year round unlike European countries (mostly in the summers), that’s why we don’t bother sunbathing. 😆 16:18 It’s the Mulu National park and Niah Cave, Similajau National park… Loagan Bunut is also accessible via Miri, Bario highlands, Baram & Marudi… Of course the Tusan beach too. Miri is the heartland of the Orang Ulu group.
