Polish public school sounds like hell. A test every day? How are you supposed to learn new things if you have tests all the damn time? I think at my school in the Netherlands we had three or four big test weeks per year in which every subject was tested, except maybe PE/music/technique, those kinds of subjects that aren't considered to be 'serious'. Outside of those weeks, we had probably about two smaller tests per week, in my estimation, or maybe three sometimes. But no more than that.
@NatalieMatz3 жыл бұрын
Technically, there was a maximum of 3 'big' tests a week, but we also had quizes (which you had to study for anyway, and homeworks, and sometimes teachers ignored the maximum :( So it was probably worse than it was supposed to be

I'm going into gr. 8 an I've been wanting to go to boarding school for a while now, I have a couple questions to ask can you answer them if you don't mind! 1) What grades do I need to attend your school (or boarding skl in general) bc I know that i.b programs are very hard 2) what can I do right now to increase my chances of getting into boarding school 3) What sports or extra-curricular activities did you do before getting in. (i plan on attending a Swiss boarding school in gr. 10 and I can also afford the costs if that helps!) Thanks!
@NatalieMatz3 жыл бұрын
1) they are actually not that focused on grades when you apply, they just need to be decent 2) & 3) I made a video with tips and describing my story in more detail - ‚How to get a scholarship?’. But keep in mind that if you can afford the costs it will be much easier to get in because there are more places, so don’t worry about it too much ❤️

Hi. If you want to get a scholarship you'll need to spend the last two years of you high school in the boarding school to complete the entire IB program (it's always 2 years long). I know that in LAS you can follow the American high school program so maybe it's different there. Otherwise, you could make your high school a year longer and do another junior and senior year in Switzerland. I know people that did that, it shouldn't be a problem. I hope it makes sense :)
