Swiss Watch Company 300Meter SWC Diver Review - One of the best I've seen.

The Diver is Swiss Watch Company's (SWC) first watch released under their own name. This Swiss made watch houses a Selita SW200 movement inside a solid stainles steel case sporting 300m of water resistance, best in class lume, a sapphire crystal, and a solid stainless steel bracet. It delivers all this at a price of $450. But is there more to this watch than just the specs? I think there is.

NOTE: In order to use a strap other than the included bracelet on the SWC Diver, you must use curved springbars. The watch includes a set with purchase. The watch is not compatible with straps that utilize quick release spring bars. However it's possible to remove the quick release spring bars from some straps and install the curved spring bars for use with this watch.

Great video. The watch really is that good. The hardest part is picking a color. I really appreciate the matte finish on the dial and bezel, helps give it a very different, and much more casual look.

I really like the look of the blue, especially since they used a blue lume. I like the all black one a lot too. The white would be cool if they put some black outlines around the lume markers, but as is I think it needs some more contrast.

Great review, picked out all the pro & con's .. micro adjustments 👍 ( would've liked to see more of the caseback design ) the hour / minute hand are a bit standard, they probably could find their own style. ( and my OCD always kicks in 🤓 if the color of the hands is exactly like the color of the large markers.. it would be better if the hands stand out in contrast with the large round markers behind them )

Yeah good observations. I think you're right that the hour and minute hands could have been a little more unique. I do like the way the arrow on the second hand lines up with the lines on the minute hand when it sweeps past though.

Watches like this is a challenge to more established companies like Seiko and Citizen. It shows that quality could be had at this price range. I paid around d $800.00 for an Orient Star 2nd Edition 1964 Diver and I can't say that it is comparable to this watch.

Love the review! I'm seriously thinking about buying one. I need your opinion. I really love the orange version, as it is fun, but I'm also wanting a dressy diver. The blue would probably be my second choice, but the color scheme isn't as fun as the orange, but a little dressier. Can the orange one, combined with the design work well with a suit? I would love to pair it with a suit for Sunday church or for formal functions(don't go to many of those though lol!) You have the orange version, which is by FAR my favorite color scheme, so I'd love your opinion. Thanks!

Hmmm... that's a tough one. I think the orange is my favorite color too, but if I were planning to wear it with a suit, I might go for the plain black one instead. This is just my opinion, but for me I feel like a diver this size is already going to be something of a statement when worn with a suit, the pop of orange makes it even more so. To me the plain black looks really classy, but like you said, I think the orange is more fun to wear with casual clothes. Good luck!

11 second per day ?? for almost 600CAN swiss watch? my san martin Model: SN003 2 second per day with a NH35 seiko movement and it was 330CAN i know swiss watches can do better accuracy but way they don't do i don't know

I've had the watch for close to a year now, and I'm running some more accuracy checks on it, it seems to have improved with time, now it's down in the +6 second range. Another cool thing with SWC is that they service their own watches. If I need it regulated I can send it in to them to do it.

I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, great watch, great watch review, but that aside, brother you really need to try to fix that bottom row of teeth you got, man I've never seen a more crooked row of teeth on a person. I'm sorry, I try to get into the video but your bottom row of teeth just keep throwing me off, I just don't get how they can be that bad but you still talk normal. Anyway it really distracts from the video but besides that it was a really great video. I'm so sorry I'm just saying my personal opinion and I'm not trying to offend anyone. I hope you make a lot of money with your channel. I heard ETA is cutting a deal with Swatch to supply their movements so their getting harder for other brands to get their hands on. Probably good for Selita's business as their a pretty solid alternative.

The SWATCH group owns ETA - outside companies are having an extremely difficult time sourcing ETA movements because the SWATCH group will not allow ETA to sell outside of the company. For the record, Stephen Roemer ( the owner of the Swiss Watch Company ) worked in quality assurance for ETA, along with Omega and many other top tier brands within the SWATCH group. He knows how to build a quality diver. This watch is fantastic for the price.

The only downside to the Selita movement is that it is a little more expensive to service. For the record, my watchmaker charges $260 to service mine (which only needs to happen every 5 - 8 years, if it starts to lose accuracy).
