The depth of color on this example is amazing...a bit of orange, a bit of bronze, a bit of blue, yet all so cohesive. The lug system is definitely the most unique of any watch I've tried.

This time piece is such a well balanced mix of innovation and luxury. This watch belongs on Harrison Ford or an Indiana Jones film. This dynamo light feature reminds me of the HYT H4 Metro and it’s such a nice touch. Great content as always!

It is yea, I think it does but also when you use it u don't leave it on for a long period, bursts of time are ok and don't affect the accuracy that much. :)

Swiss Watch Gang, Marko I am soooo glad to see you're doing this review because lately some episodes of the show have left me kind of feeling somewhat unexcited. I really like this sort of high horology stuff. Having said that, I myself have thought about what would constitute "the holy trinity" of independent watchmaking. While I cant argue with DB, MBF and Urw choice it leaves out significant players like Gruebel, FPJ and Gronefeld, although this last one seems to be a brand that has gotten exposure relatively recently. What I mean is that I have been hearing Urw and FPJ names for the past 15 or so... Gronefelds only came to my attention in the last 2-3 yrs. Nevertheless, GF and FPJ certainly belong on the mount Olympus of independent watchmaking. Maybe more than MBF? What made you pick those 3 specifically?

I try to diversify the channel as much as i can and sometimes they're going to be episodes not to everybodies liking, glad you liked this one though! Regarding my holy trinity it's the way I learned about them. Urwerk, MB&F and DB have all a long history (speaking about independents), similar production size and a similar price range + it's my initial opinion. FPJ, GF, VH and more deserve this pedestal but that's just my opinion.

Swiss Watch Gang, please do a video on bronze watches - how they age, how the patina develops, etc. I have been thinking about getting one but have resisted the temptation because of the aging of the metal which could be pretty unpredictable from what I know. I would love to get your experience as an owner.

@@SwissWatchGang That what scares me in bronze. I like the looks of a couple of watches in bronze but I realize that they will not maintain their look. On the flip-side, the aging of silver is something that I dont mind. But as far as I know, there is only one silver wristwatch out there these days - Zenith pilot (and I have a sister watch in my collection). If I were to go a pilot's way, it's have to be a fleiger or a heavily complicated pilot like a zenith doublematic. Give us your 2 cents on the metals - it could be a good video - magnesium, titanium, tantalum, silver, bronze, etc. You dont even have to go ceramic and carbon. You know what I mean?

I really like the De Bethune watches that tend to have the more classic look and really don't like the Star Trek looking ones. MB&F is another one. Many watches I like yet many I dislike. Weird how you can really like and dislike the same brand. A Lange Sohne on the other hand... I'm not sure there's one watch I dislike. In fact, most German watches I find myself liking.
