I guess Anya is the only one who could understand Damian's pain and lonliness cause she herself was in the worst conditions before being adopted by loid. Anya's insecurity and loneliness on the other hand will go worse if Loid and yor abandons her after the mission. It's true that Anya and Damian will have a wonderful chemistry when they will grow up.
